There is probably nothing that signals the oncoming festive season more than Mariah Carey's wonderfully over the top "All I Want For Christmas Is You". If though after a long days Christmas shopping you perchance could bear to hear it again, however would prefer a more relaxed version then Jenn Bostic and Brian Sutherland have just the thing for you with a version so laid back, it is almost horizontal.
All that is required is one acoustic guitar and the wonderfully complimentary voices of Jenn and Brian. Mariah's version is so wonderfully over the top that most of the time the lyrics have just passed us by apart from the key couple of lines yet here they are in all their magnificent glory.
It is Jenn who sings the first verse and all of a sudden it becomes a heartfelt expression of feelings
Brian takes the second verse continuing the vibe with his melodic timbre
From thereon in they either trade lines or sing as a divine duo.
Jenn manages to raise the temperature to all but melt the snow as she asks
"Won't you please bring my baby to me?"
and then virtually pops the thermometer in the way she suggestively requests
If you're having a party, then maybe to get things going you may wish to stay with Mariah's version however if you want a quiet night in, then this is the version that needs to filling the room with Christmas cheer.
