The latest single from Lucy Blu seems set to cement her place as one the rising stars of UK Country. With each release she seems to have gained in confidence in the studio and "Only Just Begun" is easily her best work yet.
It is a polished piece of country pop with a chorus that is effortlessly engaging and is hard to forget once heard. Lucy's vocals sound her most assured yet and although there seems to be a minimum of instrumentation it is used to good effect to make a pretty perfect three and a half minutes.
There is more new music to come and a host of festival appearances already in the pipeline, if it is all of this standard then her profile will certainly be on the rise.
There will be a Launch Party at The Slaughtered Lamb in London on the 31st of January to celebrate the release. The night will feature a headline set from Lucy as well as performances from upcoming artists Shannon Hynes and the ever good value Danny McMahon
