There are few bands where you can precisely pinpoint the exact moment you first met them, however for #TEAMw21, there is no such problem for The Worry Dolls.
It was at The Slaughtered Lamb, and supporting was a young Emily Mae Winters, who made an immediate impression as an upcoming talent and maybe Jo Carly & The Old Dry Skulls?
During the show they announced they were giving up their flats, rolling the dice and heading to the US. They even dedicated one of their most commercial tunes to telling the story - "All I Got" and then ended the chorus with the immortal phrase "Best not fuck it up!"
Over the years we followed then to all sorts of venues, surely the strangest being Beaconsfield Squash Club. They called it a day seemingly at the top of their game -nominated for a UK AMA award for "Endless Road".
The good news is that they are back, if only for one afternoon, but nonetheless back they are, for a Matinee show at The Green Note. on September 28th.
Expect solo sets from both Rosie and Zoe, followed by a reunion set full of the harmonies that defined Worry Dolls – a celebration of friendship, songwriting, and chasing wild dreams - who could ask for anything more?
