FESTIVAL PREVIEW: COUNTDOWN TO COUNTRY CALLING 2026 - SIMEON HAMMOND DALLAS

There are many good reasons for making a beeline for Simeon Hammond Dallas at Country Calling. It could be for the sparkling footwear that she is bound to wear or her ability to make the sun shine through on a gloomy day as she did at C2C a few years back. However the main reason should be to see the quality of her performing and songwriting skills - her "Seventeen" EP launch at the Lower Third was undoubtedly an unqualified success.

The EP itself has a glossy companion book which along with the lyrics includes multiple pictures of Simeon and friends precariously positioned in a kitchen, and contains real honest insight from Simeon as to what was happening in her life aged 17 and how it informs those lyrics.

The EP also yielded "Do I Die" one of the, if not the, best single of the year - it was simply perfect and was subsequently followed by a sublime piano only version that let Simeon's vocals shine like never before.

With a back catalogue full of gems from the jazzy blues of "Make It Romantic", or the sheer exuberance of "Wild Woman" or "100 Lovers" which can come as a wild band version or a more intense solo version.

Country Calling will give you the chance to see this undoubted talent - #TEAMw21 will certainly be there to see quite what she has up her sleeve next.
